Today, less than 5% of software teams use AI code understanding and generation systems. The truth is—AI assistants are just not good enough yet. Their knowledge is frozen in time, they hallucinate, and are not grounded in your codebase.

We are a group of natural language processing researchers from Google and Amazon Alexa, on a mission to change that. In our past lives, we built the first LLMs for the Alexa org and worked on precursors of Google Gemini using contextual neural techniques before they were called “RAG”.
